If you don’t have a key number, but you still have an existing key we may still be able to help. You should take a clear and clean photo of your key and email us for us to confirm if we can decode and make you a copy without the original.
Only a small handful of window locks use code series keys. If your lock does have a key number it will only be stamped on the key. If there is no number please send us a photo of an existing key or a up close image of the handle, so we can identify what key you require.
We know how important it is that you always have a lock to suit every eventuality, but equally important is the overwhelming amount of cash tied up in van stock. That’s why Ultion has a clever dual-colour design – cutting the amount of stock you need in half. And then, by putting the unbeaten security features in both sides of the lock you halve your stock again not having to buy and carry ‘handed’ anti-snap locks.

All recognised Ultion Key Centres have a license number. You can validate the registration code by using a simple checking tool. Enter the registration code and we will confirm whether it is a valid license number and who it is registered to.
Locks are the world we live in, and it is easy to baffle the home-owner with our accreditations, differs, pins, standard keys and dimple keys. But at the same time we need to make sure they really get the ‘peace of mind’ feeling they deserve for buying the very latest in lock technology.
Also, there are no magnets on the key. This means that damaging metal scrapings from coins and other keys are not carried into the lock when stuck magnetically on the key. Finally, because Ultion has 11 pins (creating 294,000 key combinations) there is no need to create extra deep key dimples for debris to hide and sneak into the lock.
In a lot of cases the format and style of a key code/number will tell us the type of key you require. However in some cases we may need some additional information to select the correct key for you. Please take note of further details such as lock manufacturer (Can be found on the item of furniture, lock face, spare key or a colleagues key) and what the lock is fitted to (i.e. Metal Filing Cabinet).

Any attempt at forced entry will immediately see the Ultion go into ‘Lockdown Mode’ where a protected attack lock activates directly into the central cam, something you won’t get with any instant access lock.
Ultion is an 11 pin cylinder, and the key doesn’t use magnets. Machines that cut Ultion keys are Silca Triax E-Code, Quatrrocode, Futura and Keyline Vortex. Key blanks and all Brisant products are available on a next day service. We can help any locksmith using Brisant locks that wants to be an Ultion Key Centre but needs a dimple key cutting machine with a subsidised rate on an RST Mustang.
The ULTImate standard that other 3-star anti-snap locks want but don’t get. This is the rigours of the TS007 3-star but with added aggression, and tested by an MLA locksmith. The tester is allowed more access around the lock, more tools, freedom to break the material surrounding the lock and the ability to pause the clock to consider a different tack – Ultion will also be tested to this standard.
The most talked differences are the type of plastic; ABS and PBT. In general, PBT is seen as superior over ABS keycaps, because it’s stiffer, durable (just don’t hit it with a hammer), stays true in color and doesn’t develop a shine effect over time. Take a look at your keyboard, most likely you’ll find some glossy keys.

To create a key using the key number that operates all of Ultion's 11 pins the key number is decoded using an encrypted security algorithm. Licensed Ultion Key Centres have access to this decoding algorithm. Once decoded the precise indentations can be cut using specialist machines with dedicated tooling to exactly the right depth, in exactly the right position, on both sides of your key.
If a homeowner is burgled as a result of their Ultion cylinder lock being snapped, they will get £1,000 compensation. All homeowners have to do is register their Ultion by completing a form on www.ultion-lock.co.uk. The guarantee is completely free.
Should a burglary take place within 10 years from the point of installation and entry was acheived by snapping an Ultion lock, Ultion will pay you £1000. To activate your guarantee just complete this registration form within 28 days of installation.
The Ultion is a dimple lock but doesn’t come with a key registration card. The key number is stamped onto the key head instead. Like all of the Brisant range of locks the Ultion is a non handed dual colour lock meaning its very easy to stock. According to Steve it means carrying 75% less stock than the Avocet ABS. Personally I will now only offer Brisant anti snap locks, I buy all my cylinders from them now as its like a one stop cylinder shop. I buy the cheap bog standard cylinders from them, Brisant E as a mid range anti snap for customers who want a good anti snap lock but don’t want to pay a lot of money and I have been using Yale AS platinum 3 star from Brisant as well but now I will 100% be swapping over to Ultion as my top of the range option for customers. The Brisant Ultion has finally achieved TS007 3 star and sold secure diamond standard. As far as I’m aware there is only one other lock which has achieved sold secure diamond and that’s the Avocet ABS. Both the ABS and the Ultion were designed by Steve Stewart so that’s quite an achievement being the only person to ever design a lock that has got through the diamond test. Since there’s only the Ultion and ABS that have managed to get the Sold Secure Diamond accreditation this post will be a little bit of a comparison between the two locks.
Most locks now have between 5-7 pins, but Ultion has an impressive 11 pins. Giving the lock impressively just under 300’000 different key combinations. So security is paramount. These locks are Anti-bump, Anti-Snap, Anti-drill, and Anti-pick. When the lock is attacked it goes into lockdown mode.
Locks such as front door ‘Yale’ type locks do not have key numbers due to being mass-produced. Also many cheap locks and imported furniture do not have key numbers, as they are imported and distributed at minimum costs not allowing for after market key service.
